The Town of Livingston Police Department has opened a criminal investigation regarding a lieutenant’s email that was hacked.
Town officials say the email address affected is BHerring@townoflivingston.com. Officials say whoever is behind the hack is sending invoices from the email to agencies and individuals across the country demanding payment.
Town officials urge the public not to open any emails from the agency at this time.
