INDEPENDENCE — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is requesting information from the public about a vehicle that was stolen in late June in the Independence area.
Officials report that around 3 a.m. on June 25, a 2022 black GMC Sierra (Denali edition) was stolen from a home in the 54000 block of North Railroad Avenue. The truck’s license plate reads “Z40 7891.”
Later that same day, the truck was seen on surveillance video at a gas station in Tickfaw.
In that video, two male suspects are seen involved with the vehicle, per TPSO. The truck’s driver, who goes into the store, is dressed in a black hoodie with no shirt underneath and black pants. He has short dreads.
Anyone with information about who these suspects are, or the vehicle’s whereabouts, is encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigations Office at 985-902-2088.
