The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office made a pair of drug arrests in less than 24 hours recently.
On Nov 8, deputies stopped a driver with Texas registration for careless operation. Authorities say after the deputies searched the pickup truck, they found five kilograms of cocaine in a modified air compressor.
Deputies arrested and charged Marco Godinez, 34, with possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics. Authorities say the estimated street value is $200,000.
On Nov. 9, sheriff deputies stopped a vehicle for improper lane usage. Deputies conducted a probable cause search and confiscated three guns and 13 pounds of Hydrocodone and Adderall pills. The estimated street value is $25,000.
Deputies arrested Woodville Mississippi native Frank Turner. Turner’s charges are possession with intent to distribute hydrocodone, possession with intent to distribute Adderall, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm while in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and a fugitive warrant out of Lincoln County, Mississippi.
