Train hits dump truck setting it ablaze

It was around 1:15pm that a train crashed into the trailer of a dump truck in Tangipahoa Parish.

The train conductor was injured with minor injuries. So far, no further injuries have been reported.

Officials said the truck attempted to cross the tracks and the train hit it, setting the truck on fire.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The wreck happened on Hwy. 51 between Amite & Independence.
