Two arrested for drugs in St. Franscisville bar

Two arrested after residents called sheriff's office for drugs at a bar in St. Francisville

An investigation of suspected drug dealing at a St. Francisville bar has led to the arrest of two men.

On Feb. 15th, the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Louisiana State Police, executed multiple search warrants and placed two men under arrest for drug charges.

Mark McEachern, 38, of St. Francisville, was arrested and booked into the West Feliciana Parish Detention Center on the following charges: 1 count Distribution Schedule I CDS (Marijuana); 1 count Distribution of Schedule II CDS (Adderall); 2 counts Distribution of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine).

Leonard Cavalier, Jr., 24, also of St. Francisville, was booked with 2 counts Distribution of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine).

“The charges are the result of an undercover investigation that began after his office received multiple complaints of drug dealing at a local bar. Several months ago, we began receiving calls from citizens telling us that illegal drugs, including methamphetamines, were being distributed at a local establishment. Our investigation confirmed those suspicions and these arrests are a result of that investigation,” said West Feliciana Parish Sheriff Brian Spillman.

No bond has been set at this time.
