Detectives in the armed robbery and burglary divisions with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office have been working two separate cases. Two people are now in LPSO custody tied to both.
The latest armed robbery was Tuesday, Jan. 25th around 9pm at the Dollar General, 10309 Hwy 1019 in Denham Springs.
“The unidentified suspect told the employee to remove money from the register. The suspect then fled,” said Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard.
The other armed robbery was on Jan. 14th where an unidentified suspect walked into the Watson Dollar Tree, 33939 LA Hwy 16.
“Upon entering, the suspect produced a handgun and demanded cash from the register,” said Sheriff Ard.
Two people have now been arrested.
-Seaton Odell Williams, 50, of Denham Springs arrested on two counts of armed robbery
-Rachel A Araque, 42, of Denham Springs arrested on two counts of principal to armed robbery
“Armed robbery and burglary detectives were able to connect both Williams & Araque to both crimes. Detectives were also able to recover clothing worn at the time of the crimes. I’ve said this before and I will say it again. I’m proud of my deputies and how hard they work on these cases. If you think you’re going to get away with committing crimes in this parish, think again,” said Sheriff Ard.
