BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police are investigating a deadly weekend crash. It happened around 4:25 p.m. on June 14 in the 900 block of Main Street.
According to BRPD, an Ford F250 was driving east on Main St. while a Ford F150 was heading south on 9th Street when the driver of the F250 hit the passenger side of the F150. Witnesses say the driver of the F250 was speeding and driving erratically before the crash, and police say the driver ran a red light.
Both passengers in the F150, identified as 70-year-old Carla Tarver and 95-year old Robert Tarver, were pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the F150 the F250 were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
