UPDATE: Victims of deadly double-shooting identified

BATON ROUGE — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly double shooting that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident took place around 2 p.m. in the 5000 block of Denova Street.

According to officials, two individuals fled from the scene after the shooting. Both were transported to separate hospitals by private vehicles. Later, detectives were notified that both individuals had died as a result of their injuries.

The victims have been identified as Steven Brown, 29, and Ray Griffin, 21.

The incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP or the EBRSO at 389-5000.
