Man accused of killing rapper ‘TrueBleeda’ outside Mall of Louisiana among two killed in overnight shooting; teen also injured

BATON ROUGE — The man accused of killing rapper ‘TrueBleeda’ outside of the Mall of Louisiana in 2022 was one of two men killed during a violent shooting Monday morning.

Baton Rouge Police say Demetriyon Grim, 23, and Jonathan William, 21, were shot in the 2800 block of 68th Ave. around 1:45 a.m. on April 1. A 16 year old girl was also shot. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sources tell UWK that the teen was shot in the leg and that Grim and William were gunned down in the front yard. Pictures show multiple gunshots to the front of the home.

Grim was arrested for what police called a targeted shootout outside of the Mall of Louisiana that left two people dead and two others injured. A grand jury decided against formally charging Grim for that shooting.
