Two shootings in Baton Rouge on Thanksgiving Day

BATON ROUGE — Two people have been injured in separate shootings on Thanksgiving evening.

The first shooting happened around 6 p.m. on Prescott Rd. near N. Foster Dr. in Baton Rouge. Sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran that a man in a car was shot at by someone walking down Prescott Rd. The victim then drove himself to Airline Hwy., where police and EMS responded.

The man was shot at least twice and rushed to a hospital in critical condition. It’s unclear at this time what led up to the shooting or if any arrests have been made.

The next shooting was around 6:45 p.m. about a mile away from the first shooting scene. This one was in the 5600 block of Beech St.

In this case, a man was shot in the arm and transported in stable condition. It’s also unknown in this case what led up to the shooting or if it’s connected to the shooting on Prescott Rd.
