Two-vehicle crash kills 17-yr-old in East Feliciana

EAST FELICIANA —- A teenager has died while on her way to work on Plank Rd. in East Feliciana Parish.

The wreck happened Sunday evening around 5 p.m. on Oct. 22 on Hwy. 67 near Idlewild Rd., south of Clinton.

The initial investigation shows the 17-yr-old, Morgan Johnson, was headed north in a 2010 Mazda 6 on Hwy. 67. At the same time, a 2012 Dodge Ram 4500 was coming the opposite direction, south on Hwy. 67. Troopers say for some reason, Johnson did not turn into left curve and when she overcorrected, she went into the southbound lanes hitting the truck head-on.

Johnson, 17, of Ethel, was ejected from her car and died on the scene. Troopers added she was not wearing a seatbelt. Sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran that the teenager was on her way to work when the crash happened.

The driver of the truck was not buckled and had minor injuries.
