Uber driver shot as he pulled into BR driveway

BATON ROUGE — An Uber driver was shot Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge as he pulled into a driveway.

The shooting happened just past 4pm on May 27 in the 8200 block of Cypress Rd., that’s off of Hooper Rd. near Plank Rd.

The 69-yr-old Uber driver pulled into an apartment complex’s driveway when the shooting happened.

Early reports indicate an SUV pulled alongside the male driver and opened fire. His car was hit by the gunfire and one of the bullets hit the Uber driver in the arm.

He was taken to a hospital and at last check, he was listed in stable condition.
