BATON ROUGE — Multiple people were arrested on drugs and gun charges after East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Narcotics agents investigated accused drug trafficker Quintin Chambliss. Agents seized 10 guns in their search, including multiple that were fully automatic weapons.
Throughout April, members of the EBRSO Gang Intelligence and Enforcement Unit, led by EBRSO SCAT, conducted surveillance Chambliss, identifying one location that he was allegedly using for his narcotics and gun operation.
The address was identified as Chambliss’ home, 15874 South Sunderland Avenue.
While conducting surveillance, agents say they observed hand-to-hand narcotics transactions, along with several males going inside the apartment with firearms. Agents were able to get a search warrant for the home.
On April 21, EBRSO SWAT and EBRSO GIE agents searched Chambliss’ residence. Agents later learned that another address (3432 Yorkfield Drive) was allegedly involved with Chambliss and they obtained a warrant for that location. EBRSO GIE executed this warrant.
The following arrests and seizures are a result of the search warrant:

• 4.8 grams of Fentanyl
• 1.2 grams of powder cocaine
• 0.7 grams of Oxycodone (1 Dosage Unit with several smaller pieces)
• 3 digital scales (Fentanyl residue)
• Assorted gun parts
• Assorted ammunition
• Box of plastic bags
Firearms:
• Cobray, CM-11 semi-auto 9mm handgun
• Roarm, Micro Draco semi-auto 7.62x39mm handgun
• (2) Anderson, AM-15 semi-auto .223 caliber AR handguns
• Glock, 19X semi-auto 9mm handgun (FULL AUTO)
• Springfield, XD5-40 semi-auto 40 caliber handgun
• Glock, 21 semi-auto 45 caliber handgun (FULL AUTO)
• (2) Glock, 23 semi-auto 40 caliber handguns
• Glock, 23 semi-auto 40 caliber handgun (STOLEN through St. James Parish)
Quintin Chambliss (06/22/1991) was charged with the following:
• Possession of a Schedule II drug (Fentanyl)
• Possession of a Schedule II drug (Cocaine)
• Possession of a Schedule II drug (Oxycodone)
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (5 counts)
• Possession of a firearm with CDS (5 counts)
• CDS in the presence of a juvenile (2 counts)
• Handling of a machine gun
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Fugitive warrant through Livingston Parish for possession of a Schedule II drug and illegal possession of a firearm
Chambliss was convicted of misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile in February 2012 and of simple burglary on Dec. 19, 2016, officials reported. The simple burglary conviction prohibits Chambliss from possessing a firearm.
During an interview with Chambliss, he claimed possession of the four firearms located in his apartment, as well as the fully automatic handgun that was taken off of his person. In addition, he allegedly admitted that all of the illegal narcotics located in his apartment belonged to him and came with the “switch.”
Dwayne Williams (12/08/1998) was charged with the following:
• Possession of a stolen firearm
• Possession of a firearm by someone convicted of domestic abuse battery
• Violation of a protective order
• EBRSO Bench Warrant: Domestic abuse battery, violation of a protective order, possession of marijuana
According to officials, Williams admitted the firearm located near him belonged to him, which was discovered to be stolen.
Williams was convicted of simple assault on May 27, 2021; and of Domestic abuse battery and violation of a protective order on June 29, 2023. The domestic abuse battery conviction prohibits Williams from possessing a firearm.
Bryson Lumbers (08/07/2003) was charged with the following:
• Handling of a machine gun
• Resisting arrest (flight)
During a Post-Miranda interview, Lumbers stated he knew the gun he had was a full automatic and he ran with it when he saw the officers. He allegedly admitted that he threw the firearm in the woods and that he handled this gun throughout the day and tightened the “switch.”
Lumbers was convicted of illegal carry of a weapon on August 14, 2023.
Daviyon Ventress (11/02/2007) was charged with:
• Handling of a machine gun
During a Post-Miranda interview, Ventress allegedly stated that the full automatic gun Lumber ran away with belonged to him. He stated the gun and the “Switch” were his.
