UPDATE: Deputy Nick Tullier is back to responding

The Tullier family came to you asking for prayers when he was no longer responding to anyone and as always, you all came through and proved yet again, prayers do work.

You may recall on the day 2,000 update on East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Tullier, we told you that he was not responding to anyone including his mom Mary Tullier. As of Jan. 26th, 2022, Tullier is back to responding to his mom and others!

In the nearly 2.5 weeks since that update, Tullier is now accepting food via his feeding tube.

The good news is there is output in his ostomy bag, which proves his body functions are improving.

Tullier went to a BR hospital in Nov. 2021 and had to spend all the holidays in a hospital room. He remains in a hospital for now.

Tullier’s mom did get Covid and since she provided her son 24/7 care, she had to switch off with James Tullier, her husband and Tullier’s father. Mary is doing much better and as of Jan. 25th, she’s back to taking care of Tullier. In fact, after a hot bath and hair wash on Mary’s first day back, Tullier followed her around their hospital room with his eyes and was smiling the entire time his mom was talking to him!

“We ask that you please continue praying for our son because that’s what’s gotten us this far and Nick has a good ways to go having lost so much ground thanks to the pandemic,” said James Tullier.
