BATON ROUGE — A woman initially held without bond after her arrest for her alleged role in a triple shooting in Mid City, has now been granted a $100,000 bond. Paris Frazier was arrested on Dec. 6, 2025, accused of driving the car to and from the shooting in Mid City in May 2025, in which three men were injured.
It was May 14, 2025 around 3 p.m. during broad daylight when the trio was working on a home on N. 24th Street. The men were shot in an attempted armed robbery, with one of the men injured severely from the shooting. They were digging holes for fence posts at a home as part of work for the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance. While they were working, the men noticed two people walking down the street coming toward them. One of them had on a mask covering much of his face, victim Robert (Robby) McKey, an employee of Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, told UWK in May 2025.
McKey said the men started out asking about working, but he told them they’d need to fill out a waiver form at a different time. Then the men allegedly said they were hungry and asked for money, but he told them he didn’t carry any cash.
Things escalated soon after. McKey recalled that he was crouching to mix concrete at this point in the conversation, and one of the men moved behind him, holding the gun to the back of his head. According to him, the man said not to move or he would “blow your f***ing brains out,” and that he shifted out of instinct, which might have saved his own life.
McKey was shot multiple times, along with his friend who was shot twice in the arm. McKey’s stepdad’s hand was grazed by a bullet.
According to BRPD, the suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV with gray tape covering the entire rear glass portion of the vehicle. Per the arrest warrant, detectives used video surveillance to identify the vehicle the two suspects ran toward as a black Chevy Equinox.
According to the warrant, officers learned Paris Frazier had been “in possession of the vehicle at the time of the shooting incident.”
When officers spoke to Frazier, she allegedly admitted to having the vehicle the day of the shooting and to “driving the suspect vehicle (with the two unknown shooter suspects inside) to and from the shooting scene,” per the warrant.
Frazier was arrested on Dec. 6, 2025, and is charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder and three counts of attempted armed robbery.
Frazier was being held without bond, but on Jan. 21, 2026, she went before Commissioner Kina Kimble, where she was granted a $100,000 and ordered to wear an ankle monitor.
The two men accused of the shooting have not been arrested. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
