Vehicle fire shuts down I-10 eastbound at Acadian

I-10 eastbound at the Acadian Thruway exit now has one lane open. That’s after it was shut down completely after a truck caught on fire.

No injuries were reported.

Add this closure to Friday afternoon traffic in Baton Rouge and it’s been a nightmare for drivers.

Some have said they’ve been sitting for hours. All drivers eastbound must get off the interstate. There are numerous alternate routes but expect heavy backups everywhere.
