Verizon store clerks taped & robbed at gunpoint

Two young women were tied up with tape before two men robbed a Verizon store at gunpoint.

Just as a Verizon store in Baton Rouge was wrapping up for the day and preparing to close, BR police officers were alerted to an armed robbery.

It happened minutes before 7pm on March 1 at the Verizon retail store on Millerville.

Officials said two men walked into the store with one saying he needed multiple Iphone 13s while the other suspect pulled out a gun saying they did not want to hurt the store clerks.

Instead, the two female employees were tied up with tape while the men suspects stole several items and ran off.

The two clerks were able to get away and go to a nearby business where they called police.
