Victim identified in deadly shooting at BREC park

BATON ROUGE —- Baton Rouge Police officers are investigating a deadly shooting at a Brec park on N. Sherwood Forest Blvd.

Multiple shots rang out near the basketball court at the park around 7:30pm in the 3100 block of N. Sherwood Forest Blvd. That’s near S. Choctaw Dr. in the Park Forest area.

Officials say Nicholas Brock, 29, was shot and died at the scene.

Brock was a music artist known as “Hot Boi Nook.”

An argument during a game led up to the shooting. After the argument, one person is believed to have walked back to their vehicle to get a gun and unloaded several rounds, killing Brock.

Police say they have no suspects yet.
