VIDEO: Firefighters use jaws of life to rescue two fawn caught in fence

CENTRAL, La — The Central Fire Department weren’t putting out fires this morning, they were rescuing deer!

Early Friday morning two fawn got caught in a fence off Frenchtown Rd., firefighters said.

The fire department posted video on their Facebook account showing one of the fawn caught in between a fence. The fawn’s body was in one part and it’s neck was in another.

The video shows firefighters using the jaws of life to rescue at least one of the fawn from the fence.

Their efforts were successful, according to the Facebook post. The fire department also posted a photo of district chief R. Dix making sure the fawn was okay before it ran off.

The fire department posted that the fawn were eventually reunited with their mom.
