Walker man wanted after late night shooting in Livingston Parish

WALKER — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a Walker man in connection to a shooting.

It was around 11:00 p.m. on April 3, 2024 when LPSO deputies responded to Joe Lee Rd. in Walker.

An adult male was found shot to the chest. He was transported to a hospital and now listed in stable

LPSO says surveillance cameras picked up Mark Dewayne Covington, 35, of Walker, allegedly fleeing the scene on a bike.

An arrest warrant was cut for attempted second degree murder for Covington and LPSO deputies are now searching for him.
