WALKER, La. — Walker Police officers and Livingston Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene of a deadly shooting.
Walker Police Chief David Addison said they found Danny Gonzales, 24, dead from a gunshot wound. He added they found at least two shell casings on the scene.
Chief Addison said the shooting happened around 11:30am behind the area with Albasha, Foo Chow and Castle Nails on Walker South Rd. within the city limits of Walker.
Walker Police say employees at a nearby restaurant found the body and called police. It’s believed the victim works in the area and that the victim likely knew the gunman.
Police believe that three men were involved in the shooting and that they fled in a white Honda SUV.
Police say the driver of the getaway vehicle was Marvin Palacios, 26, of Harvey. Palacios was arrested by Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputies and will be returned to Livingston Parish. Police say the white Honda SUV was located in Jefferson Parish and was seized in connection with the investigation.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect believed to have been the shooter in the homicide. Police are continuing to work to identify the third man involved in the shooting. Authorities anticipate that an arrest warrant will be issued shortly for that suspect.
