WEST BATON ROUGE — A 27-year-old man has been fired after being arrested for domestic abuse battery.
Andre Charlot was arrested on June 20th when deputies responded to a disturbance at his home in Port Allen.
He was charged with felony domestic abuse battery (child endangerment) and was subsequently booked into the West Baton Rouge Correctional Center.
Charlot had been employed with the sheriff’s office since October 2022 and was assigned to the jail.
Following the arrest, Charlot has been terminated from the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
A booking photo was not provided due to Act No. 494, which restricts mugshots released to the media for most offenses with exceptions for certain violent crimes.
