WBR Grand Jury indicts man from 2013 murder

A West Baton Rouge Grand Jury returned a true bill against Edward Rinaudo.

He has since been arrested for one count of second-degree murder in the death of Sandry Rinaudo.

She was killed on Aug. 9, 2013 in the 4000 block of Foret St. in Addis.

Her autopsy report indicated multiple blunt force trauma injuries to her body including fractured ribs. The case was taken to a grand jury after the killing, but the grand jury did not return any indictments due to a lack of evidence.

The Addis Police Dept. investigated the case, & later asked the Attorney General’s Office to look at it.

Now, nine years later, the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office took another look at the case and presented it to the grand jury on Friday, July 8, 2022.

That’s when they returned a true bill, meaning they did find that there is enough evidence to move forward with an arrest and trial.
