PORT ALLEN — West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Narcotics Agents recently seized illegal products containing Tianeptine & Kratom during an undercover operation at a business in Port Allen.
Deputies focused on Bro’s Food Mart, located at 920 North Alexander Avenue, and targeted the store for having and selling products allegedly containing Tianeptine and Kratom.
After the undercover buys, agents executed a search warrant at the store. Deputies say they seized numerous packages identified as containing Tianeptine and Kratom from the Port Allen store.
Md Saiful Islam, 41, of Baton Rouge was arrested and booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center on the following charges:
• Distribution of Schedule I CDS – Tianeptine
• Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS – Kratom
A bond has not been set at this time.
