WBR Parish revokes Raxx’ liquor license

In a hearing held Thursday, Oct. 14th, before West Baton Rouge parish officials, Raxx’ liquor license was suspended.

It comes after a deadly shooting in the parking lot of Raxx Bar & Grill in the early morning hours of Sept. 18th.

Major Zack Simmers with the WBRSO said the victim was shot around 1:45am in the parking lot and died after he was transported to the hospital.

Unfiltered with Kiran learned that those involved with the Raxx incident may be minors. It’s why Tony Clayton, district attorney for the 18th JDC, requested a full investigation into the management of Raxx and a liquor license revocation.

After that incident, the state had suspended Raxx’ license, but today, the parish has officially revoked the license permanently effective immediately.
