The West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office has made an arrest in connection to the double murder from Sunday, March 27, 2022 in Brusly.
The Sheriff’s Office has identified Myiesha Briama Adams, 29, and Robert Washington, 66, both of Brusly, as the victims.

Kevin Craig, 58, of Brusly, was arrested and charged with home invasion and domestic abuse battery.
“While Craig has not been charged with these murders yet, he is our only suspect and detectives are confident that he will be charged accordingly as this is still an ongoing investigation,” said WBRSO Major Zack Simmers.
WBR Deputies found two bodies hours apart near Lukeville Ln. in the unincorporated part of Brusly, meaning outside of Brusly city limits. It’s why the WBRSO is handling the case. The second body was discovered around 1pm near the old Fred’s building, not far from where the original scene is.
Officials said Washington, who lived at the home on Lukeville Ln., did not attend church Sunday. That’s why someone went to check on him and found him dead inside his home. When the WBRSO responded around 10:30am on March 27, they confirmed they were working a homicide.
Then someone passing by thought they saw a body so reported it to the sheriff’s office. That was around 1pm and that’s when deputies confirmed finding Adams’ body in a field behind the home on Lukeville Ln.
WBR Sheriff Mike Cazes said the case appears to be domestic for now. He added deputies received a call around 12:30am for a disturbance. When deputies arrived, they found three people on scene. Craig left the scene but it appears came back sometime in the night. Then around 10:30am, deputies arrived to find Washington dead inside the Lukeville Ln. home.
An autopsy will reveal the exact cause of death for Washington & Adams, but it appears to be a stabbing for now.
