PORT ALLEN — West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s officials confirm Julius Knox Jr., 23, of Baton Rouge, turned himself in on July 25 around lunchtime in connection to a shooting.
Knox was wanted for armed robbery and attempted first-degree murder after a shooting Tuesday evening in Port Allen, according to officials.
It was around 7 p.m. on July 23 when West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies responded to Rebelle Lane for a shooting. That’s off of Rosedale Rd. in Port Allen.
Upon arrival, deputies found a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Deputies say as of their preliminary investigation, officials identified Julius Knox Jr. as their suspect. It’s unclear at this time where Knox is, which is why detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
