MARINGOUIN — Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested one person in connection with a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital. According to the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, the suspect is who transported the victim to the hospital.
Around 3 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Maringouin in reference to a stabbing. When they arrived, deputies learned that the victim, a 43-year-old man, had been taken to the hospital by the suspect, officials say.
The victim has non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Iberville Sheriff’s Office.
After investigating, officials identified Sade Green as a suspect. She was arrested as a fugitive by the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office while she was at the hospital with the victim, per the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Green was transported back to Iberville Parish and booked into the parish jail on one count of aggravated second-degree battery.
