Woman arrested for cutting Walmart employee after argument

Around 6:45pm on June 2, 2022, East Baton Rouge Deputies responded to the Walmart on Coursey Blvd.

Officials Latasha Williams, 39, was arguing with someone while in the self-checkout line and an employee stepped in & tried to tell her to stop.

That’s when she allegedly cut him with a box cutter. He is being treated with a non-life threatening injury.

Deputies did find the woman at her home. Williams is charged with aggravated second-degree battery.

Her name has not been released just yet.
