Woman wanted by FBI in connection to Baton Rouge bank robbery arrested

BATON ROUGE — A Baton Rouge woman, who allegedly robbed a bank in the city nearly seven months ago, has been arrested.

Jazmine Johnnie, 22, surrendered to authorities in Baton Rouge over the weekend, according to the FBI New Orleans office.

Johnnie is accused of entering the bank and demanding cash from the tellers while allegedly threatening that she had a bomb in her purse and her boyfriend had an AK-47. According to the FBI, she fled the scene in a gray Dodge Challenger after grabbing the cash.

Investigators said that a federal arrest warrant was issued for her on February 28, 2024.
