BATON ROUGE, La. — An investigation is underway into the city’s latest homicide after a body was found dumped.
A woman’s body was found in an area along Florida Blvd. between the Fast Lane store and Sonny’s BBQ.
The discovery was made around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 3 in a grassy area. She appears to have been shot to the head.
At this time, no further details have been provided except that she was a woman in her 20’s and that foul play is suspected.
An autopsy is expected on the woman to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
The woman’s name has not been released at this time.
