East Baton Rouge Parish
- Kenilworth Neighborhood Independence Day Parade
- Date: July 3
- Time: 6:30 p.m.
- Location: Kenilworth Neighborhood
- Annual neighborhood tradition. Families line the streets for a patriotic parade with decorated floats, bikes, and local flair.
- America 250 on The River
- Date: July 4
- Time: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: Repentance Park
- Enjoy live music, Louisiana cuisine, and a festive atmosphere along the river. This free event is a great way to start your holiday evening before the fireworks begin.
- Fireworks on the Mississippi
- Date: July 4
- Time: 9 p.m. – 9:25 p.m.
- Location: Downtown Baton Rouge and surrounding riverfront areas
- A highlight of the holiday in the capital city, this fireworks display over the Mississippi River attracts thousands. Bring your lawn chairs and patriotic spirit to enjoy one of the largest shows in the state.
- L’Auberge Casino and Hotel Fireworks Extravaganza
- Date: July 4
- Time: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Fireworks at 9:00 p.m.)
- Location: The Lawn at L’Auberge Casino and Hotel
- L’Auberge offers a free, family-friendly viewing party with food trucks and live entertainment. DJ Maliboo will perform from 7:00 p.m. to midnight.
- Tsunami 4th of July Terrace Bash
- Date: July 4
- Time: 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
- Location: 6th Floor of Shaw Center

- Red, White and Zoo at Baton Rouge Zoo
- Date: July 4
- Time: 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Location: Baton Rouge Zoo
- The zoo is open on the Fourth and will host a special “Red, White and Zoo” day. A fun, low-key option for families with young children.
- St. George America 250 Celebration
- Date: July 5
- Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Location: Highland Road Park
- A patriotic afternoon honoring America’s 250th Anniversary. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, a picnic lunch or enjoy food trucks.
Port Allen
- Fourth Fest on the Westside
- Date: July 4
- Time: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: Downtown Port Allen, Mississippi River Levee
- Port Allen invites families and friends to the riverfront for an evening of free entertainment and fireworks. Activities for children include face painting, magicians, clowns, and space walks. Food and beverage vendors line the levee, and live music from local bands sets the tone before and after the fireworks show, which begins at 9:00 p.m.
Ascension Parish
- Donaldsonville Independence Day Celebration
- Date: July 3
- Time: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: Crescent Park, Donaldsonville
- Live music food trucks, vendors, family activities. Fireworks close out the evening.
- Fourth of July Fireworks Show in Prairieville
- Date: July 4
- Time: 9:00 p.m.
- Location: Fred’s on the River, LA-431, Prairieville
- Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a laid-back, riverside fireworks show celebrating Independence Day in the heart of Ascension Parish.
Livingston Parish
- Watson America 250 Parade & Fireworks
- Date: July 4
- Time: 7 p.m.
- Location: Live Oak Jr. High to Rudy’s Seafood
- The Golden Age of America Parade will start at Live Oak Jr. High School and end at Rudy’s Seafood.
- Walker Celebration in the Park & Fireworks
- Date: July 4
- Time: 2:00 p.m. to dark
- Location: Sidney Hutchinson Park
- Kid’s village, vendor market, food trucks, live music, firework finale.
Iberville Parish
- Plaquemine July 4th Hometown Celebration
- Date: July 4
- Time: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Location: Plaquemine Community Center & Pavilion
- Includes a veterans’ boat parade (5:30 p.m.), music, kids’ rides, about 30 vendors, and fireworks at 9:00 p.m.
Pointe Coupee Parish
- Celebrate Independence Day on False River
- Date: July 4
- Time: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- 2:00 p.m. Boat Parade
- 5:30 p.m. Live music by Southland Band
- 6:30 p.m. Golf Cart Parade
- 7:30 p.m. Eric Singleton & Underground Zydeco perform
- 9:00 p.m. Fireworks over the water
- Location: Morrison Parkway, New Roads
- Includes food, and drink vendors. Cap off the evening with a spectacular Fireworks Show on False River.
Krotz Springs
- Fourth of July Fireworks on the River
- Date: July 4
- Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with Fireworks at Dusk
- Location: Nall Park
- Krotz Springs, located on the Atchafalaya River, hosts a community-wide celebration featuring live music, hot dogs, watermelon, and fireworks. The event is supervised by the town’s Volunteer Fire Department. Guests are encouraged to bring coolers, lawn chairs, and picnic blankets.
The Northshore
- Light Up the Lake: 4th of July in Mandeville
- Date: July 4
- Time: Parade at 4:00 p.m., fireworks at 9:00 p.m.
- Location: Mandeville Lakefront
- The event features live music, food trucks, games, crafts, and a kids’ tent. Fireworks reflect beautifully off Lake Pontchartrain to close the evening.
- Old-Fashioned 4th of July
- Date: July 4
- Time: 11:00 a.m. – 8:45 p.m.
- Location: Tchefuncte Riverfront and Town Hall, Madisonville
- Activities begin with a veterans’ salute, followed by games, cornhole, horseshoes, a pie bake-off, a watermelon eating contest, and more. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, coolers and picnic baskets for a riverside picnic. End the day with fireworks at dusk by the river.
- Abita Springs Independence Day Celebration
- Date: July 4
- Time: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: Abita Springs Trailhead Park
- A community-centered event with live music, kid’s activities, food and craft vendors. The celebration wraps up with fireworks in true small-town fashion.
- Sparks in the Park
- Date: July 4
- Time: 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Location: Bogue Falaya Park, Covington
- The festivities include a DJ, live music, food trucks, face painting, and kid’s activities. Brave competitors can join the classic hot dog eating contest. End the day with a dazzling fireworks finale.
