ZACHARY — A deadly crash is under investigation in Zachary that happened early Tuesday morning involving an 18-wheeler. Officials have released the identity of the victim.
It was around 5:45 a.m. on April 28th when Zachary Police officers responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a big rig carrying logs and a van. Officers say it happened at the intersection of Mount Pleasant and Barnett Cutoff roads in Zachary.
At the scene, one person died. Officials have identified the victim as 50-year-old Earnest Matthews.
