Officials say Jack Ealy, Jr., 51, of Wilson, was pursued by Zachary PD officers into East Feliciana Parish before he crashed a silver Camry on Hwy. 955.
Ealy is accused of shooting a person in the head near Main St. in Zachary on Thursday.
After he crashed his vehicle at the intersection of LA 955 and LA 957, officials said he fled on foot before the pursuing officer could apprehend him.

The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. in the 4200 block of New Weis Rd., off Old Baker Rd. near Main St. in Zachary.
