Zachary Police officers are on the scene of a body found.

Police Chief David McDavid said the body was found in a pond near the Meadow View neighborhood just before 4pm on March 2, 2022.

Chief McDavid said people riding 4-wheelers in the area called 911 saying they saw a male’s body.

It’s too soon right now to identify the person. It’s unknown whether or not foul play is suspected at this time.
