Zachary: Toddler rushed to hospital after falling in pool

ZACHARY — Multiple agencies are responding to April St. in Zachary after a toddler fell in a pool.

It happened around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 off of July St. near Church St., or Hwy. 64, in Zachary.

Early reports are the toddler fell in a swimming pool. The toddler’s parent rushed the baby to the nearest hospital. She is now being airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.

Details as to what led up to the toddler falling into the Zachary pool are under investigation at this time. Detectives are trying to piece together exactly what happened.

Meanwhile, a condition on the toddler has not been provided at this time.
