ZPD arrests accused meth dealers

For the last several months, the Zachary Police Department had been investigating suspects accused of distributing methamphetamine.

On June 29, 2022, with the help of numerous local law enforcement agencies, the Zachary Police arrested and charged Ashley Chanet and Kailey Bourriague.

Through the investigation, detectives learned that Chaney was allegedly the main distributor and Bourriague helped sell the drugs. Officials learned that two locations were used to distribute and stash the drugs.

With help from the Baker Police department, detectives obtained a search warrant for 6306 E. Myrtle Avenue in Baker. The ZPD Narcotics Division got a search warrant for 3860 North Row Ave. in Zachary.

The following seizures and arrests were made as a result of the above-listed search warrants.

Seized

  • 91.7g of methamphetamine
  • 10.2g of heroin
  • 6.5g of MOJO (synthetic Marijuana)
  • 4.7g of marijuana
  • 10 suboxone strips
  • 349 illegal pills

Chaney was arrested on several charges: 

  • Dist. of Schedule II
  • PWID Schedule II (2-counts)
  • PWID Schedule I (3-Counts)
  • PWID Schedule III
  • PWID Legend drugs
  • Poss. of drug paraphernalia

Bourriague was charged with: 

  • PWID Schedule II
  • Poss. of Schedule I (heroin)
  • PWID Legend drugs
  • Fugitive warrants

Joseph Mceachern was arrested on a fugitive warrant.
